Future Fair 2025: A Fifth Anniversary Edition

Future Fair welcomed 69 exhibitors to Chelsea Industrial for its fifth-anniversary edition.

Future Fair returned to Chelsea Industrial for its fifth anniversary edition, welcoming 69 local, national and international exhibitors and thousands of collectors, curators and art lovers over four days. Five years in, the fair continues to evolve while remaining grounded in its founding ethos: collaboration, sustainability and shared success. As Hyperallergic noted this year, galleries are drawn to Future Fair’s scale, its platform for emerging programs and its evolving curatorial vision.

“This edition marked a clear step forward in curatorial vision and research-driven presentations, offering fertile ground for discoveries on the cutting edge of emerging art.” - The Observer, May 2025

A highlight of the 2025 edition was the presentation by newcube (New York), awarded the Artlogic Best Booth Prize & 21c Museum Acquisition for its booth of batik paintings by Rachel Hakimian Emenaker. Selected by 21c Museum Director and Chief Curator Alice Gray Stites, the acquisition marked a significant institutional milestone for the artist and underscored Future Fair’s commitment to creating tangible opportunity for its exhibitors.

Since its inception, 250 galleries have exhibited with Future Fair. What began as a rethinking of the traditional fair model has evolved into a platform that supports the advancement, sustainability and empowerment of galleries operating within a global economy: a trusted destination during New York’s busiest art week, built on collaboration and shared success.
