The fourth edition showcased over 60 local national and international exhibitors at Chelsea Industrial in Manhattan between May 1-4, 2024.
Future Fair closed its fourth annual in-person show, Saturday, May 4, bidding farewell to thousands of collectors, curators, critics, art-lovers, and the 62 international, national, and local exhibitors who assembled at Chelsea Industrial from May 1-4.
Writing for the Wall Street Journal, Brian P. Kelly said, “In Chelsea, Future Fair has quickly become a favorite stop during New York Art Week, with small and midsize galleries exhibiting exciting new voices.” Writing on the 2024 Fair, Artnet observed, “On the whole, participating galleries are smaller, funkier and actually dedicated to their artists, a place where visitors might discover something novel and exciting.”
Future Fair is thrilled to take another step in furthering its goal of building a stronger, more accessible commercial art community and platform that supports the advancement, sustainability and empowerment of art galleries. For the 2024 edition, Future Fair awarded its inaugural Artists Prize to Angela Fang Zirbes (Hashimoto Contemporary, NY, LA, SF), who will participate in the Loma Serena residency with Virreina Art Space in Santander, Colombia as part of the award.
Garnering significant press interest, spirited attendance and strong sales, the atmosphere at Future Fair was one of collective success. Embodying a new model for what an art fair can be, Future Fair is establishing itself as a fair of the future and today.
